As I meandered around the island in my trusty golf cart, soaking in the island vibes, I stumbled upon Bella Vista—an oasis of tranquility nestled amidst the swaying palms and azure waters.

Places To Eat In San Pedro

I last visited San Pedro in September of 2023 which is considered the off-season for Belize tourism. Many of the establishments we visited were out of stock of most menu items and it was honestly a bit of a struggle to find what we were interested in and was mostly reduced to chicken and rice options. With that being said, there were a few restaraunts that stood out that I wanted to go over today. I’ll be back on San Pedro in a few weeks so keep an eye out on this post for more food related updates!

Altun Ha Belize Mayan Ruins

Altun Ha Mayan Ruins

Standing amidst the remnants of an ancient civilization offers an unparalleled experience, transporting you back in time to an era of power and grandeur. Such is the case with the recently discovered ruins of Altun Ha in Belize, where the vestiges of a once-mighty nation lie waiting to be explored. Discovered in 1961, these ruins are still undergoing excavation, revealing tantalizing glimpses of a bygone era.

Arrival

Despite its historical significance, the site maintains a remarkably affordable entry fee, with prices set at a mere $10 per foreign person, or $5 for local pinoy visitors.
